Best Foods to Eat While Pregnant

This post is a good follow up to last week’s post about the best foods to eat for better sex ;o)
If you are pregnant, you cannot simply rejoice by thinking that you can indulge on all the foods that you want because you are eating for two people. Eating too much while you are pregnant could only increase your weight, but could make you and your baby more prone to certain types of illnesses. It is therefore important for you to know that while you are pregnant, you need to actually be more conscious of the types of foods that you consume and see to it that you eat foods from all the different food groups on a daily basis.
There are several foods that a pregnant woman should eat more of. These foods should be included in a well-balanced diet that is contained in all the different food groups: dairy products, fish, lean meat, eggs, fruits, vegetables, fat and carbohydrates. All these food groups are necessary for a pregnant woman to consume because they need to get enough nutrients not only for herself but for the baby inside her womb as well.
A pregnant woman should eat more of eggs, dairy products like milk, cheese, yogurt, which is a good source of protein and calcium. Nuts should also be included as part of the best foods that pregnant woman should eat as nuts are a good source of carbohydrates.
Pregnant women could eat more of rice, pasta, bread, corn, and potatoes. These foods are rich sources of carbohydrates and calories that is very much essential nutrient sources for every pregnant woman and the child in her womb.
Vegetables and fruits should also be regularly eaten as well as fish and other sea foods. Vegetables and fruits are healthy alternatives and could keep the body fit and full for a long period of time. Fish are good sources of iron and is especially important for the mother and the child in the womb.
Other than these foods, fluids are also important to every pregnant woman most especially if you want to breastfeed. Fluids come in the form of fresh fruit juices, shakes, and water.

hi
no green tea is not good at all as it is more appropriate for weight/toxin reducing. But raspberry tea is highly good for pregnancy as it will help prepare for birth/breastfeeding.

Aren’t there many types of fish that pregnant women should NOT eat at all due to high mercury levels? If so, I think that should be noted in here not just for women to eat fish.
As well as different types of cheeses (mouldy cheeses that could contain bacteria).

I think it should be noted that there is a list of fish that are harmful to pregnant women and also that any type of fish should be consumed, at most, 3 times a week. Mercury levels in fish can be harmful to fetuses. The best fish while pregnant is wild caught salmon and also white albacore tuna. Tuna steak and most exotic fish contain the most mercury and therefore are the most dangerous. Please all women who read this article check with your doctor before consuming fish to assure it is safe.

There are a lot of innacuracies in this article. As a matter of fact, it shouldn’t even be posted anywhere on the web because it is so inaccurate. Foods high in carbs are not necessary, and if rice and/or pasta is to be eaten it should be wheat pasta and brown rice. A high carb diet is not necessary, and nuts shouldn’t be included in the diet for carbs, but for their protein value. White albacore tuna actually has a high amount of mercury. The best tuna to eat is Light Tuna. Less mercury than other others. And you shouldn’t eat it more than once every few weeks according to the American pregnancy Association.
You really shouldn’t post an article offering help and assistance to pregnant women when you don’t know what you’re talking about. It is unsafe, and can put pregnant women and their unborn children at risk. Shame on you.
