Crash dieting could be the easiest thing to do but you must remember that you are looking at long term results here. Crash dieting could do you good by allowing you to shed off a couple of pounds instantly but allows you to gain it all back in no time whenever you give in to your sudden and uncontrollable cravings for all the foods you tried your best to avoid.
Therefore you must always consider that if you want a healthier lifestyle and if you want to at least maintain your current weight, there are certain health foods you have to eat more of. Of course, you are supposed to cut down on your caloric intake as well as temporarily say goodbye to your insurmountable cravings for junk and chocolates and say hello to better and healthier food alternatives.

apples because it is a good source of fiber that can lower your cholesterol level,
blueberries as they can help prevent urinary tract infections,
vegetables because they can keep your skin healthy,
fresh fruit juices because they can detoxify your system,
tuna and or salmon as these are good sources of Omega-3, an ingredient that is good for the heart,
wheat germ normally found in grains and wheat because they are a good source of nutrients like potassium, iron, zinc, fiber and more that are essential to the body.
